28 Simple Ways to Address Stress

Sometimes, too much of a good thing, is not a good thing.  That is the case for a powerful little chemical our bodies make called Cortisol.  Don’t get me wrong, Cortisol has a mighty purpose.  It gives you a fight or flight response when a crisis arises and it reduces inflammation in our bodies.  Good stuff, right?  But, when we have long-term stress and our bodies are pumping out tons of Cortisol on a regular basis, problems are around the corner.  It can impair cognitive performance, affect thyroid function, cause blood sugar imbalances, elevate blood pressure and lower immune system.  But let’s be honest.  It is not realistic to think we are going to live stress-free lives, which makes it important to be purposeful addressing our stress on a regular basis.
